The Narrow Path Through
The Garden
The following pages are commentaries on scriptures that have spoken to me personally. I share my thoughts with you in hopes that you also will gain comfort and insight from them. In each case, my words are not important. God's Word is what matters.
Therefore, I urge you to prayerfully read and ponder the scriptures first, asking the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and show you His truth. These are not "daily" devotionals. Often I read and pondered the same scripture for several days. You will also want to read the scriptures that surround the passage to put it into its true context as well as other connected scriptures the Holy Spirit leads you to. After prayerfully pondering the scripture, write down your thoughts and what the Holy Spirit reveals to you from the passage. Then perhaps you will like to read the thoughts I have included on that passage. It is my prayer that I have adequately shared some insights from the Lord that will be helpful to others.
Keep a record of your study, and at some point in the future you may want to read it again or pass it along to your children or loved ones. How wonderful if these precious passages from God's Word, together with the insights given through the Holy Spirit, could be passed down and added to through the generations until the day our Lord comes again.
Just always remember that it is the Word that is important and unchangeable. My thoughts and your thoughts are fallible. Let us always focus and teach our children and grandchildren to focus on what God teaches. It is the Truth that never changes, providing a solid foundation on which to build our lives.
